Spitting Feathers to Open New Bar at Chester Station

Chester Train Station Spitting Feathers

Acting on behalf of a private client, Legat Owen has successfully secured a new tenant for Units 1, 2 & 3, West Wing, Chester Station.

Spitting Feathers, a renowned local brewery celebrated for its craft beers, has agreed a 15-year lease on the property, which will be called Chester Station Tap Room.

The Grade II listed property, comprising 3,500 sq ft, has been vacant for some time and was previously a bar/café. The premises will undergo refurbishment prior to opening.

The Spitting Feathers brewery is based on a farm in Waverton, near Chester, and has been operating since 2005. In 2008 they embarked on an exciting journey opening their first pub, The Brewery Tap in Chester, which quickly gained recognition and acclaim, winning numerous local and regional pub awards. They expanded their venture in 2014 by opening their second pub, The West Kirby Tap on the Wirral.

In 2025 Spitting Feathers are poised to unveil their third pub, Chester Station Tap Room. This milestone year will also be particularly special, as they will be celebrating 20 years of brewing!

Tom Creer, Associate Director at Legat Owen commented:

“We are delighted to have secured Spitting Feathers for this prominent location. The property offers a unique opportunity within a major gateway location to the city. Chester Station Tap Room will be an exciting addition to this area of Chester.”
