Redsun Projects has completed the acquisition of a five-acre site at Croft Retail Park from Homes England and has secured detailed planning permission for a 70,000 sq ft commercial scheme including a drive-through café and a food and drink unit. Broadgrove acted as planning consultants.
Nick Wightman, director at Redsun Projects, commented:
For many years people will have driven past this site and wondered why it hadn’t been developed. We’re pleased that our determination has paid off, having finally secured a detailed planning consent to allow us to start construction. Our aim is to appoint a contractor and start on site in early 2023.
Situated adjacent to the A41 and Croft Retail Park, the development will consist of four trade counter units and three detached industrial units ranging from 3,000 sq ft up to 24,000 sq ft. Units will be available on a freehold or leasehold basis.
Mark Diaper, director at Legat Owen, joint agents for the scheme with B8 Real Estate, continued:
We expect there to be strong demand from occupiers seeking a high profile and visible location to trade from especially given the prominence of the site next to the popular Croft Retail Park. Early interest and enquiries have been very encouraging, with the drive-through plot already being under offer
The site was acquired for an undisclosed sum.
