London-based property and investment company, Filey Group has completed the speculative refurbishment of Breeden House in Crewe as part of a £1million development project.
Located at the junction of Edlestone Road and High Street in the town centre, the 20,154 sq ft mixed use scheme comprises 7,433 sq ft retail accommodation on the ground floor with 12,721 sq ft offices on the two floors above. Office suites are available from 350 sq ft – 2,207 sq ft.
The announcement comes after Filey Group acquired the scheme in the summer of last year from Agmore Properties. The company has a diverse portfolio including retail, office and leisure.
Speaking about the scheme, Joel Rothbart, director at Filey Group, commented: “Breedon House always had good potential but required some investment to bring it up to a high standard. The scheme now provides businesses the opportunity to lease high quality accommodation at a competitive rate and with car parking.
“As a location, Crewe is proving to be an extremely attractive investment proposition and we are actively considering further opportunities in the area where we can maximise the value of the asset.
Director, Andy Butler continued: “Looking at the occupational market we are seeing increased demand from smaller businesses who are looking for good quality office accommodation in a central location. Thanks to the recent HS2 announcements, Crewe is quickly establishing itself as a major business destination and has in turn attracted investors to acquire a foothold in the town centre and take advantage of this improving economy.”
