Farmfoods Crewe Major Expansion

Legat Owen has successfully agreed terms on behalf of the landlord to facilitate the expansion of Farmfoods at Oak Street, Crewe.

The deal sees Farmfoods significantly increase its footprint by taking occupation of two adjoining units, which were previously let to separate tenants. The expansion marks a major investment in the store and reinforces Farmfoods’ long-term commitment to Crewe.

The store is currently closed to allow for a comprehensive refurbishment, with the newly extended and enhanced store scheduled to reopen on Friday 3 July.

Once complete, the larger format will enable Farmfoods to offer its full range of branded and own-brand products, including frozen food, groceries, chilled goods, bread, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as a selection of household items. The improved layout will provide customers with a more modern and convenient shopping experience.

Originally occupying one of the three units, Farmfoods’ expansion into the full terrace represents a substantial increase in floorspace and operational capacity, positioning the store to better serve the local community.

Andy Butler of Legat Owen commented:

“This deal demonstrates continued confidence in well-located retail in Crewe, particularly where operators are prepared to invest in larger, more modern formats. Farmfoods’ expansion secures a strong, long-term tenant for the landlord and enhances the overall offer at Oak Street.”
