Sandbach is an historic market town in Cheshire East, famous for its iconic ninth century Saxon Crosses and charming cobbled market square. The town centre and wider parish has a population of approximately 24,519 (2024). The town serves as the key administrative centre for Cheshire East, housing the Cheshire East Council headquarters along with a diverse range of retail and commercial occupiers. Junction 17 of the M6 motorway lies to the east of the town centre, facilitating commuting connectivity with Warrington and South Manchester to the north and Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire to the south. The Sandbach Railway Station lies approximately 1.5 miles to the south-west, where trains run from Crewe to Manchester.
