Acting on behalf of a private client, Legat Owen has completed the letting of a prominent industrial unit at Crewe Gates Industrial Estate to local charity Supported Community Business (SCB), marking the successful occupation of Unit 1 at The Gateway.

The 5,772 sq ft trade counter/industrial unit has been secured by SCB, a charity supporting adults with additional needs to live more independent, fulfilling lives.  The unit offers a high-quality working environment, including a steel portal frame construction, dedicated yard and parking and a mezzanine level suitable for storage or future office fit-out.  Its prominent position at the heart of Crewe Gates Industrial Estate made it an attractive option for occupiers seeking both visibility and accessibility.

SCB, a longstanding Crewe-based charity, has relocated from nearby premises into the larger unit, enabling it to significantly expand its packaging, labelling and light industrial activities. The move ensures the organisation can continue delivering meaningful work experience and support for adults with additional needs in a more efficient and future-proofed environment.

Matt Pochin, who oversaw the letting, commented:

“We are delighted to have completed the letting of Unit 1 at The Gateway to Supported Community Business.  It’s particularly rewarding to see a local organisation secure space that will directly support its growth and the valuable work it delivers within the community.”

Matt Pochin, Director, Legat Owen

The letting underlines ongoing demand for modern industrial and trade counter space in established commercial locations such as Crewe Gates Industrial Estate, where supply of high-quality units remains limited.
