Legat Owen Secures Letting of 10 Watergate Street, Chester to Loake Shoemakers

Acting on behalf of the landlord, Legat Owen is pleased to announce the successful letting of 10 Watergate Street, Chester to renowned British footwear brand Loake Shoemakers.

The prominent city centre premises, extending to approximately 918 sq ft, occupies a highly visible position on pedestrianised Watergate Street, one of Chester’s key retail thoroughfares linking the city centre with Chester Racecourse.

The property is located at ‘The Cross’ in close proximity to occupiers including Costa and Reiss, together with a number of successful fashion and leisure occupiers. 

Loake Shoemakers will open a new store at 10 Watergate Street, allowing the brand to offer an enhanced retail experience for customers in Chester. The new premises will showcase Loake’s full collection of footwear, accessories and shoe care products within a refined retail environment in the heart of the city.

An application has also been submitted to remove the existing glazing bars, creating a brighter and more open shopfront.

Loake Shoemakers, an established British brand with a strong heritage in premium men’s footwear, continues to develop its retail presence across key locations in the UK.
