As many of you know, 2026 marks a significant milestone for Legat Owen, as we celebrate 40 years of providing trusted, independent advice across the commercial and residential property sectors. To mark the occasion, we’re aiming to raise £40,000 for local charities that make a genuine difference across our region.
To help us reach that goal, our colleagues Gareth Joyce and Elliot Jones have taken on an extraordinary challenge: cycling 400km (248 miles) in just 40 hours powered by nothing but determination . . . and their own two legs!
On 15 and 16 August, Gareth and Elliot will set off on an endurance ride from Chester to Holyhead and back, pushing themselves to the limit in support of four fantastic charities:
• Save the Family
• Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre
• Wingate Special Children’s Trust
• The Joshua Tree
It is a huge physical and mental challenge, but one driven by a desire to give back to the communities that have supported Legat Owen over the past four decades.
Gareth and Elliot won’t be completely alone on the journey. Colleagues Will Sadler, Matt Pochin, Will Rees and Hannah Baker will be joining him for sections of the route, providing support and encouragement along the way.
If you’re along the North Wales coast that weekend, keep an eye out for the team and give them a wave.
Most importantly, if you’re able to donate, every contribution, no matter the size, will help us support these incredible charities and the life-changing work they do.

Thank you for helping us celebrate 40 years of Legat Owen by making a positive difference for others.
